Bad weekend

  • $800 downswing on the cashgames (100NL + some 200NL)
  • Got 2-outered in the Sunday Warmup qualifier
  • I busted out 8th from the BCoP qualifier on unibet
  • Yesterday I also lost 100 euros in a .25/.25 deepstacked homegame, but it was fun though ;)
I guess I'll have some catching up to do for the rest of the month.

A Nightmare on 5th street

At the occasion of Halloween, unibet organized 3 special tourneys today. A $1 and $5 rebuy and a $10 freezeout. If you made a hand with 666, such as trip sixes, or sixes full of xx, or quad sixes, you got a unibet pokerset. And if you were able to make the final table after making a hand with 666 during that tourney, you got an extra $666 on top of the money to be won at the final table.

I managed to make a hand with 666 in the $1 rebuy, but unfortunately I did not make the final table there.

You can see the hand here.

However, I did make the final table in the $5 rebuy tourney and got second place, which was good for a decent $375 payout.

So we're off to a good start for november ;)

October graph

I had a pretty good month in the cashgames last month, allthough I didn't play as many hands as I would have liked too.

The graph is mainly from 100NL on Everest and Unibet + a couple of shots on 200NL on Everest.

I didn't play a lot of tourneys last month. I qualified once for the Sunday Warm-Up but I didn't make the money.

I did make a $500 cash in a unibet 6-max freeze-out tourney with a $25 buyin after making a deal with 3 people left.

Also, I qualified 3 times for the Belgian Championship final qualifiers on unibet (which isn't really that impressive since I probably played about 25 satellites lol). The first final went pretty well, but a bad beat caused me to go out in 6th with 3 places ITM (first 2 get the package worth $4.5K, 3rd gets about $2K). The second final didn't go so well and I was knocked out in about 25th place. The 3rd and last final takes place this sunday.

Wish me luck :)

Goals for next month: play more hands (at least 30K), continue taking shots at 200NL and drop down when it doesn't work out, qualify for the Sunday Warm-Ups, play some more tourneys.

Received 500pc Desert Sands chipset from PSO promo

Last month I did some PSO promo's to be able to order myself a 500pc Desert Sands chipset. I did the Nevada Jacks promo on titan poker. That one was pretty easy to clear (6-tabling 50NL). Once you complete the Nevada Jacks promo, you can upgrade to a customized 500pc chipset (you can choose Nevada Jacks or Desert Sands). For this, you need about 18.000 PSO points. I only had about 9.000 so I did the Carbon Poker promo for another 12.000 PSO points. This one was also easy to clear (I 4-tabled 100NL for this one). The client is not that bad, but it takes some getting used to. And the traffic is not that high as on the bigger networks.

Anyway I went for the 500pc Desert Sands chipset and I chose the following set up:
  • 150 x 25c
  • 150 x 50c
  • 100 x $1
  • 50 x $5
  • 50 x $25
I think this should be good to be able to play some 25NL (25c/25c blinds) or 50NL (25c/50c blinds).

The chips are delivered by www.pokershop.dk for Europeans; I ordered a couple more items from their webshop too:
  • 1 deck of 100% plastic COPAG Texas Hold'em cards (Jumbo index)
  • 3 COPAG cut-cards
  • 1 Bluff Europe magazine (this one was free)
